Down on the farm with.. unboxing

We've teamed together with Angry Zeta, PhillBilly and Smal Water to create a split/compilation cassette tape for the Roots In the Jar festival.
Today the tapes arrived and Matthijs recorded an unboxing video:

10YO Moonshine Brigade

It's not an Aprils fools; exactly 10 years ago we had our first band rehearsal at the Willem Twee Studios.
Lars, Arie and me jammed on a couple of songs like 'the Weary Kind', 'Mack'  and 'Tell it to me'.
The latter has been a live staple in our set for almost 9 years.
Our line-up has been pretty stable over the years.
At our first gig Matthijs played on on violin, then moved to Belgium for love.
Rob manhandled the washboard in our first two years.
Willem is part of our band since gig no#2 and has been around ever since :-)

Speaking of Willem; he has rheumatic complaints with his hands sinds November, making it very painful for him to play the banjo.
This is very frustrating for him, not to be able to play music.
He's trying to find a remedy and has made some doctor visits, let's hope he'll recover!

We've played two gigs in January with Peter on banjo.
His band 'Chop 'n Roll' were kind enough to let us borrow him.
Check them out: https://chopnroll.nl/

Next gig that we've got lined up is a very special one: Roots in the Jar / Muddy Roots Europe.
We are very exited to play there, the line-up is stellar.
Back in 2014, before we started Moonshine Brigade i went to this festival and knew that'd this was a festival that it'd love to play.
More info and tickets

That about sums it up ;-)
You can find our music and merchandise on Mirlo
See you around for the next 10 years,
